The Texas Organizing Project (TOP) is hiring a Training Coordinator to build and run training programs for staff and community members in Dallas, Harris, or Bexar County. The Training Coordinator creates and delivers training programs for both staff and community members. Day-to-day work includes writing training materials, supporting local leadership teams, helping resolve conflicts, and making sure all trainings are available in English and Spanish whenever possible. You will also take part in field organizing activities like door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and text banking as needed. The salary range is $58,000–$63,000, depending on experience, with a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, a 401(k), paid holidays, personal leave, sick leave, and travel reimbursement. The position is part of a union bargaining unit.
To be considered, you need at least three years of experience in community organizing, leadership development, or direct voter contact work — especially in low-income communities. Strong communication skills, a diplomatic approach to problem-solving, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are all important. Spanish language skills are a plus. Be ready to travel between TOP's home bases in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio as needed.
