Tony's Place is a Houston nonprofit that supports and empowers LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning) youth under 25. If you or someone you care about needs help, this is a good place to start. Services include case management, basic needs support, community engagement, and advocacy.
Tony's Place offers four core services. Case management helps youth navigate resources and make a plan. Basic needs support covers things like food, clothing, and hygiene supplies. Community engagement builds connection and belonging. Advocacy stands up for youth rights and wellbeing. The organization does not provide temporary housing directly, but staff can connect youth to housing resources across Houston. Parents and guardians can find their own support through PFLAG–Houston and the Association for Family Community Integrity. Tony's Place also opens its center to local groups for meetings and events, and staff are available for public speaking or community education.

If you are worried about someone else, call or email staff and describe the situation — they can guide you on next steps. Parents and guardians should explore PFLAG–Houston and the Association for Family Community Integrity for tailored support. Volunteers are welcome on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help with meals, the clothing and hygiene closet, and cleaning. Organizations interested in partnering or reserving the center space can reach out by email.
