Harris County Aquatics Program for Youth and Adults

The Harris County Aquatics Program (HCAP) has taught swimming to local families since 1992. Kids ages 6 to 18 learn to swim safely, and adults and seniors can join lap swimming, water aerobics, and more.

The Learn-to-Swim program teaches children ages 6 to 18 basic strokes and water-safety skills in four-week sessions, meeting twice a week for about 30 minutes each. Adults and seniors have their own program with lap swimming and water workouts for all abilities.

Enrollment is first-come, first-served, so apply early. Once your application is in, you can enroll in classes and get updates when new ones open. Youth classes are for ages 6 to 18; adults and seniors join the adult program.
