The Division of Student Success and Student Life (3SL) at the University of Houston-Downtown supports students from pre-college programs through graduation. Services include academic support, counseling, student health, basic needs, sports and fitness, and 200+ student organizations. Staff across multiple offices help students get involved, find resources, and build skills for socioeconomic mobility. Students can connect in person or remotely.

Welcome to Gator Nation! Whether you are embarking on your freshman year, joining
us as a transfer student, or returning for another academic term, we are excited to
have you at the University of Houston-Downtown. We, in the Division of Student Success
and Student Life (3SL), seek to create a comprehensive and seamless experience for
you from pre-college programs through graduation, and into your future. The 3SL team
is a diverse community of professionals dispersed across offices and centers across
campus. We work with our campus and community partners to create a vibrant culture
of collaboration, cooperation, and communication that nurtures talent, develops future
leaders, and drives socioeconomic mobility.
We, in partnership with our academic colleges and services, are dedicated to facilitating
an exceptional "Gator Experience" for you. We offer a wide range of resources and
services, both remotely and in person, and we encourage you to utilize our services
when needed. We encourage you to get involved in the UHD community. Active participation
on campus is pivotal to enhancing your time at UHD. It introduces you to campus life
and UHD's culture, spirit, and traditions. We are here to assist you in getting involved
and our staff in Student Leadership and Involvement and the Center for Student Advocacy
and Community are excited to assist you in finding ways for you to connect on campus
whether that includes joining one of our 200+ student organizations or attending one
of the many events hosted weekly on and around campus.
