Good first step: Act Reserve a pavilion or plan a visit to El Franco Lee Park
Call 346-286-1805 to reserve a pavilion, or just show up between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. any day of the week!
El Franco Lee Park is a free, family-friendly Harris County park packed with green space, sports fields, playgrounds, a butterfly garden, a nature trail, bird watching, and a summer splash pad. It is open every day and easy to enjoy at your own pace.
The park includes sports fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, a butterfly garden, a nature trail, bird-watching spots, and a seasonal splash pad. Covered pavilions are available to reserve for gatherings. Admission to the park and splash pad is free.
Plan your visit around splash pad hours if you have young children — and check the weather first, since it closes in the rain. Pack a picnic lunch, but keep food and chairs outside the splash pad zone. Bring a leash for pets and bags for pet waste. If you want a pavilion for a group outing, call ahead to reserve one. Follow the posted rules so everyone — including the wildlife — has a good time.
Open daily, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The splash pad runs July 13 – August 10 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. After August 10, splash pad hours shift to weekends only for the rest of August 2026. The splash pad stays off on rainy days.

El Franco Lee Community Center is also part of this campus and offers additional facilities and programs worth exploring.
Whether you want to kick a ball, watch butterflies, let the kids run through water jets, or simply take a quiet walk, this park brings it all together in one free spot. It honors the legacy of El Franco Lee, who served as Harris County Precinct One Commissioner for 30 years and championed parks and green space for the community.
