Christia Adair Park is a free Harris County park named after civil rights leader and suffragist Christia V. Adair. It is open year-round and welcomes neighbors for outdoor recreation, shared meals, and community gatherings. Pavilions can be reserved in advance.
The park offers open green space for outdoor recreation and group gatherings. You can reserve a pavilion for a cookout or community event. A community center on site provides additional facilities and programs. Amenities include designated barbecue grills and camp stoves for cooking. Pets are welcome on leashes, and designated dog park areas let dogs roam off-leash. Admission is free.
To make the most of your visit, check the seasonal hours before you head out so you arrive with plenty of time. If you are planning a group event, reserve a pavilion ahead of time online or by calling 346-286-1805. Bring your own food and use the designated grills for cooking. Pack out your trash, keep pets leashed outside the dog park area, and leave glass containers at home — they are not permitted in the park. Overnight parking is not allowed, so plan to wrap up your visit before closing time.
Year-round. Summer hours (March–October): 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Winter hours (November–February): 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
