This law would create better training programs for workers who take care of older adults and people with disabilities in nursing homes and care facilities. The training would help workers give better care and keep people safe. State workers who check on these places would also get better training to make sure care is good.
This policy strengthens the skills and knowledge of caregivers who support our most vulnerable community members in long-term care facilities. When care workers receive quality training, families can have greater confidence that their loved ones are receiving compassionate, professional care that helps them maintain dignity and wellbeing.
