A faith-based nonprofit serving those in need since 1871, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston comprises 1,700+ volunteer members ('Vincentians') organized into 50+ parish chapters called Conferences, plus a network of food and clothing pantries. It provides immediate relief to families in crisis and works to lift people out of poverty by addressing its root causes.
Volunteer Vincentians visit neighbors in crisis in their homes to provide person-to-person assistance, recognition, and dignity. This free, basic-needs help serves neighbors across the Greater Houston-Galveston area, typically by parish Conference service area; contact a local Conference or call 713-741-8234.
