Starting over in a new country is hard. CWS Houston makes sure new neighbors don't have to figure it out alone. Whether you just arrived or have been here a while, trained staff are ready to help you find stability and move forward.
Services cover a lot of ground. In the first 90 days — called Reception & Placement — you get case management, housing, food, clothing, medical appointments, school enrollment, and a Social Security card application. ESL (English as a Second Language) classes and cultural orientation help you get comfortable. Beyond 90 days, extended case management, immigration legal services, and mental health support are available. There is also specialized help for unaccompanied children and integration services for those who have been here longer.
