HAAM (Humble Area Assistance Ministries) is a faith-based interfaith nonprofit founded in 1990 serving northeast Harris and east Montgomery counties, and is the area's largest comprehensive social services agency. It helps residents in financial crisis meet basic needs and move toward self-sufficiency, addressing over 70,000 requests for assistance per year.
Offered by a United Way of Greater Houston partner, this program stabilizes an individual's environment through food, rent, utilities, and Meals on Wheels. Apply via the HAAM assistance form; client hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am-4:30pm.
