The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern is a decommissioned drinking water reservoir built in 1926 that has been transformed into a venue for immersive art installations and public tours. This 87,500 square foot space features 221 concrete columns. Our community grows stronger when we learn together and share knowledge across neighborhoods.

Today, the cistern hosts a variety of events and activities for people of all ages. One popular offering is sound healing meditation sessions, where visitors can find their center and practice meditation in the spacious and tranquil setting. These sessions are held regularly throughout the spring and summer months, giving people opportunities to relax and focus on their well-being.
