About Ann Harris Bennett
Ann Harris Bennett has served as Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector since January 2019, following her election in November 2018. Her office is responsible for property tax billing and collection for more than one million parcels across Harris County, motor vehicle registrations and titles, and voter registration — one of the largest voter registration rolls in the United States. Bennett has expanded access to services through branch offices and community outreach across the county and has worked to modernize the office's systems and increase voter registration opportunities. A Democrat and Harris County native, she is committed to making government services accessible to all residents regardless of where they live. Her office operates more than twenty branch locations across Harris County, including sites in Fifth Ward, Pasadena, Baytown, Humble, and Katy.
