Tom Bass Regional Park is a sprawling Houston green space split into three sections. Whether you want to golf, fish, fly a remote-control plane, or just let the kids run wild on an NFL challenge course, there is something here for nearly every age and interest — and it costs nothing to get in.
The park offers golf, fishing, an NFL challenge course, a remote-control airfield, pavilion rentals, and a community center with additional facilities and programs. Each of the three sections has its own mix of amenities, so it is worth exploring all of them.
To get the most out of your visit, check which section has the amenity you want before you head out — the three locations are spread across Fellows Rd and Cullen Blvd. If you are planning a group gathering, reserve a pavilion in advance by calling 346-286-1805. Sections 1 and 3 are open 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from March through October, and 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from November through February. Section 2 and the R/C (remote-control) Airfield are open 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. year-round.
