Hey, did you know Legacy Community Health has free or low-cost doctor visits for kids up to age 24? They even have walk-in hours 7 days a week. Check them out at legacycommunityhealth.org
Legacy Community Health offers pediatric care for children and young adults ages 0–24 at clinics across Greater Houston and nearby cities. Whether your child needs a routine checkup, a same-day sick visit, or a virtual appointment from home, Legacy has options that work for your family — no matter what you can pay.
Legacy pediatric services include well-child visits with vaccines and lab work, sick-child visits with immediate appointments at most locations, sports physicals, adolescent care (ages 12–21), lactation consulting, nutrition support, and parenting classes. Telehealth visits let your child see the same doctors and therapists from a smartphone or computer. The walk-in clinic handles common concerns like fevers, ear infections, colds, minor wounds, rashes, and more.
Start by calling (832) 548-5000 or visiting Legacy's website to find the clinic nearest you. Online scheduling is available for well- and sick-child visits. If your child needs care right away, head to the Southwest Pediatric Walk-in Clinic — no appointment needed during open hours. For a virtual visit, use the telehealth option through MyChart. If your child attends a KIPP, YES Prep, or Galena Park ISD school, ask about on-campus health services to save yourself a trip to the clinic.
Ongoing
Greater Houston, Baytown, Beaumont, Deer Park, Fort Bend, and Pasadena. Walk-in clinic at 6441 High Star, Houston, TX 77074: Monday–Saturday 8 a.m.–8 p.m. and Sunday 12–6 p.m.
Legacy also offers obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) services, so care can begin during pregnancy and continue through childhood. Behavioral health counseling, dental care, vision services, and pharmacy support are available at Legacy locations as well — making it a one-stop option for many Houston families.
Every child deserves great care, and Legacy makes that possible regardless of a family's ability to pay. You get a consistent care team that knows your child — not a rotating cast of strangers. School-based services at select KIPP, YES Prep, and Galena Park ISD campuses make it even easier for busy families to get kids the care they need.
