Good first step: Act Spring Branch Community Health Center clinic locations
Visit sbchc.net to find the clinic closest to your home and schedule a visit for your family.
Spring Branch Community Health Center (SBCHC) runs seven clinics and two Mobile Health Clinics across Greater Houston. Whether you need a checkup, dental care, or help enrolling in a health insurance program, there is likely a location close to home.
SBCHC clinics offer family medicine, women's healthcare, pediatrics, dental care, back-to-school vaccinations, flu shots, and physicals. An Eligibility Specialist at every location can help you apply on the spot for Medicaid, CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program), or a Gold Card for specialty referrals. The centers accept Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance, including Aetna and UnitedHealthcare.
Start by finding the clinic nearest you using the locations page. When you visit, bring any insurance cards you have — or come without coverage and ask to speak with an Eligibility Specialist. They can walk you through applying for Medicaid, CHIP, or other public insurance programs right there at the clinic. No need to figure it out on your own first.

If you are already connected with a Houston-area school, SBCHC can help make sure your child is up to date on back-to-school vaccinations. The center also offers referrals to specialty care and can connect patients with housing programs — a helpful link if you work with local social services or community nonprofits.
Affordable, quality healthcare can be hard to find. SBCHC fills that gap for families across the west and northwest Houston area. Every clinic is set up to care for your whole family — from kids to adults — under one roof.
