"Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the country. This week gives neighbors a chance to meet across faith and cultural lines, share ideas, and practice the kind of everyday connection that helps communities grow stronger together. The UN created Interfaith Harmony Week to encourage exactly this kind of bridge-building."
The American Leadership Forum, supported by 25 community partners, is launching United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week in Houston from Feb. 1-10, 2025. Events are free and open to the public, with the theme "Walking, Talking, and Working Together." Programming includes a panel discussion at the Contemporary Arts Museum, an interfaith walk at Burnett Bayland Park, a celebration at Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, and a Gandhi museum event — all aimed at building dialogue across Houston's diverse faith communities.
