Harris County Reviews Contract Approval for DualStreets Service

Harris County Commissioners Court is reviewing a contract proposal that would skip the usual competitive bidding process. The Office of the Purchasing Agent has asked for permission to work directly with DualStreets for county services.

Normally, our county requires multiple companies to bid on contracts. This helps ensure we get the best value for taxpayer money. However, sometimes the county can approve exemptions from this rule when there are special circumstances.

The agenda item shows this proposal is ready for review by our five elected commissioners. They will discuss whether to approve the exemption and allow the County Judge to sign an agreement with DualStreets.
