"Starting over in a new country is hard. Houston Multicultural Center exists to make that transition smoother. Whether someone just arrived or has been here a while, the center connects them to the people, tools, and services they need to feel at home and become self-sufficient."
Houston Multicultural Center helps refugees and immigrants in Houston build self-sufficiency. Services include cultural orientation, housing, food, and social services support. Staff help clients with job readiness and placement, aiming for self-sufficiency within 180 to 240 days. The center also assists with Medicaid and Social Security applications and connects clients with resources for successful adaptation to their new community.
