Blue Ridge Park is a free, 296-acre Harris County park built for youth soccer — but open to any family when the club isn't using the fields. You'll find LED-lit soccer fields, a playground, a pavilion, and a direct connection to the Sims Bayou Greenway, all in one green space designed to help manage local flooding.
The park includes four regulation youth soccer fields, one LED-lit practice field, a playground, a pavilion, picnic tables, benches, water fountains, restrooms, and 70 permeable parking spaces. When Shadow Creek Soccer Club is not running its programs or doing maintenance, the fields are open to the public for youth soccer. The park was built through a partnership between Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis's office and the Qatar Harvey Fund.
Check the park during off-club hours for open field time. Arrive during posted hours, park in the designated lots, and follow the posted park rules — no glass containers, keep pets leashed, pick up after them, and use designated grills for cooking. If you enjoy walking or biking, use the Sims Bayou Greenway entrance to extend your outing along the bayou trail.
Open daily. General park hours run 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Soccer field public access is during daytime hours when Shadow Creek Soccer Club is not using them. Summer hours (March through October): 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Winter hours (November through February): 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
