Where We Live
The Houston Parks and Recreation Board meets monthly to advise the Mayor and City Council on parks, recreation facilities, and green space policy. The board reviews park improvement plans, recreation programming, trail development, and land acquisition proposals. Meetings are open to the public and residents can attend to advocate for park improvements, new facilities, and green space investments in their neighborhoods across the city of Houston.
