Our Air & Water
The Harris-Galveston Subsidence District board meets monthly to review groundwater withdrawal regulations, subsidence monitoring data, and the regional transition from groundwater to surface water supplies. Board meetings are open to the public and cover pumpage reduction requirements, regulatory compliance, and land subsidence trends that directly affect flooding risk, infrastructure integrity, and development patterns across the Houston-Galveston region.
