The Houston Food Bank distributes food to more than 1.5 million people across an 18-county service area in southeast Texas. Volunteers are the backbone of this operation. Shifts run on weekday mornings and Saturday mornings at the main warehouse in the East End. No experience needed — just bring closed-toe shoes and a willingness to help. Volunteers sort, box, and pack food donations that go directly to families in need across Houston neighborhoods. Shifts are two to three hours long.
