Houston's justice system affects real people in our community every day. This working group tackles the issues behind mass incarceration, racial and economic bias, and youth in adult prisons. Joining means adding your voice to organized, ongoing advocacy for change.
The Houston Peace & Justice Center (HPJC) is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides networks and resources for organizations and individuals working to advance nonviolence, human rights, and economic, social, and environmental justice. HPJC brings together activists and member organizations across the Greater Houston area through five working groups, collaborative events, peace education, and activism training. It facilitates resource sharing, community building, and public outreach on issues including criminal justice reform, immigration, environmental justice, and economic equity.
