Community Assistance Center is a Montgomery County (Conroe, TX) nonprofit that has operated for roughly 45 years providing resources to meet basic needs and improve quality of life for neighbors experiencing financial crisis or instability. Using a case-management care-team approach, staff perform individualized assessments and connect clients to resources for housing, utilities, food, clothing, and other basic needs, along with recovery goal-setting and workforce-skills training.
The Hand-Up Initiative from the Community Assistance Center, a United Way of Greater Houston partner, is a goal-setting and training program aimed at permanent recovery and stability, helping clients build workforce skills to support themselves and their families.
