Students ages 14 and up take a 6-day trip to Washington D.C. to learn about government and civility. They research important issues, meet with Congress members to share their opinions, and visit museums and monuments. Students learn how to listen to different viewpoints and communicate respectfully. Groups of 10-12 students stay for 5 nights and get hands-on experience with the political process. The program includes all meals, hotels, transportation in D.C., and visits to government offices.
