Energized for Excellence Academy is a Houston ISD middle school that serves 585 students in grades 6-8. Located on Bissonnet Street in Southwest Houston, this public school provides free education for all students in our community. The school serves families in the diverse neighborhoods around the Sharpstown and Westwood areas. Principal Ms. Arlene Kho leads a team focused on helping young people transition from elementary to high school. Like all Houston ISD schools, Energized for Excellence offers core subjects like math, science, English, and social studies. Students also get access to art, music, physical education, and technology classes. The school provides free breakfast and lunch for all students. Families can access counseling services, special education support, and programs for English language learners. Middle school is a critical time when students build confidence and discover their interests. This school helps sixth, seventh, and eighth graders develop study skills and prepare for high school success. Parents can get involved through the Parent Teacher Organization, volunteer in classrooms, or attend school events. To enroll your child or learn about programs, call the main office at 713-773-3600.
