Harris County may add $700,000 to a roofing contract with Royal American Services, Inc. for county buildings through April 2027.
Harris County Commissioners Court will vote on July 9, 2026, to add $700,000 to an existing contract with Royal American Services, Inc. for roofing work on county-owned buildings. The agreement covers May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027 and uses job order contracting, which lets the county hire a pre-approved contractor quickly without a separate bid each time. At least 9% of the work must go to certified minority- or women-owned businesses.
Harris County buildings may need roof repairs or replacements. This vote sets aside $700,000 for that work and determines which company is on call to do it over the next year.
