Harris County may extend its accessible emergency alert contract with Deaf Link, Inc. for $188,825 to serve residents who are deaf, blind, or hard of hearing.
On July 9, 2026, Harris County Commissioners Court will vote to extend a contract with Deaf Link, Inc. for $188,825 to keep the Ready Harris Accessible Alert System running through June 28, 2027. The system sends emergency alerts in American Sign Language, English voice and text, Spanish, closed captions, and Braille-compatible formats. Harris County residents who are deaf, blind, hard of hearing, or deaf-blind can sign up to receive these alerts at hct.ahasalerts.com.
