Harris County considers an agreement with Texas Elite Amateur Sports Association to improve Bayer Park for residents' recreation and health.
Harris County Commissioners Court introduced an agreement with Texas Elite Amateur Sports Association, Inc. to use and improve part of Bayer Park. The goal is to provide recreational facilities for Harris County residents, promote health and exercise, build sportsmanship, and give residents active ways to spend their leisure time.
This agreement would let a private sports group use and make improvements to part of Bayer Park, a public county park. Neighbors who use Bayer Park may see changes to that portion of the park.
