Harris County Commissioners Court will vote on July 9, 2026, on whether to update fee schedules for the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office Training program and Hazardous Materials (HazMat) response team. The goal is to make fees match the real cost of services so both programs stay financially sustainable. The FMO offers classroom and hands-on training covering HazMat incidents, rescue, and firefighting. The HazMat team supports fire and law enforcement agencies across Harris County.
