Harris County Commissioners Court will vote on July 9, 2026 on whether to move up to $772,170 in leftover American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds into the county's Fiscal Year 2027 General Fund budget. The ARPA Steering Committee recommended this transfer in May 2026. Harris County got $915 million in ARPA money in 2021 to recover from COVID-19, and those funds must be fully spent by end of 2026.
