On July 9, 2026, Harris County Commissioners Court will vote on an order to clean up problem properties in Precincts 2 and 3. The work is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Neighborhood Nuisance Abatement Program, which targets properties with piled-up trash, high weeds, standing water, abandoned pools, and unsafe structures that threaten neighbors' health and safety. Properties with trash, weeds, standing water, or unsafe structures in Precincts 2 and 3 may be cleaned up under this order. Neighbors near those locations could see changes to those properties.
