Harris County may extend Habitat for Humanity – Northwest Harris County's contract to deliver free home repairs to low-income homeowners through December 2026.
Harris County Commissioners Court will vote July 9, 2026 on a contract amendment with Habitat for Humanity – Northwest Harris County. The update allows Habitat to keep providing free home repairs under Harris County's ARPA Single-Family Rehabilitation Program through December 31, 2026, with no added cost. Eligible homeowners must live in Harris County, own and occupy a single-family home for at least five years, and earn at or below 65% of the Area Median Income.
If you or a neighbor own and occupy a home in Harris County and qualify by income, this program funds single-family home repairs. The vote decides whether Habitat for Humanity can keep doing that work through end of 2026.
