Medicare Advantage Cost Transparency Act

H.R. 9392 is a federal bill that would require Medicare Advantage plans to include more cost details — such as deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance — in data they report to the government for each patient service, starting January 1, 2027. Plans would also need to flag cases where a patient got an at-home health risk assessment earlier in the same plan year. On June 25, 2026, a House subcommittee advanced the bill by voice vote. It has not yet passed the full committee or the House.
