This contract amendment extends HIV prevention and care services in Harris County through the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. The agreement adds advance payment options and updates data management systems for the Ryan White Program Part A Minority AIDS Initiative and Ending the HIV Epidemic Services. These programs provide critical HIV testing, treatment, and support services to our community's most vulnerable residents. The Ryan White Program specifically serves people living with HIV who cannot afford care, while the Minority AIDS Initiative focuses on communities disproportionately affected by HIV. Harris County's investment in these services means local residents have access to life-saving HIV medications, counseling, case management, and prevention education. The contract runs from March 2026 through February 2027 with no cost increase to taxpayers. This amendment ensures our county continues providing comprehensive HIV care that saves lives and prevents new infections. Residents can access these services through Harris County Public Health clinics and partner organizations.
