Harris County Extends Housing Staff Jobs Through 2026

Harris County Commissioners Court approved extending four staff positions in the Housing and Community Development department through September 2026. These positions are funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which brings federal money to our community for housing and neighborhood improvements. The CDBG program helps low-income families find affordable housing, repairs homes for seniors and people with disabilities, and funds community centers and job training programs. These four staff members work directly on programs that help Harris County residents get housing assistance, apply for home repair grants, and access services in their neighborhoods.
