Harris County Commissioners Court approved extending four grant-funded positions until September 2026 for the Community Development Block Grant program. The Community Development Block Grant comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. It gives Harris County millions of dollars each year to improve communities that need it most. The four staff positions help manage these important programs across our county. Without these workers, fewer families would get help fixing their homes or finding job training.
