Harris County Commissioners Court approved changes to an important contract with Legacy Community Health Services. The Ryan White Program covers medical costs for people who cannot afford HIV care. The Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative works to reduce new HIV infections in our community. This contract runs from March 2026 through February 2027 with no cost increase. Having stable funding means Legacy can continue serving thousands of Harris County residents. These services reduce HIV transmission and help people with HIV live healthy lives. The amendment passed Commissioners Court on May 14, 2026.
