This contract amendment extends HIV prevention and care services in Harris County through the St. Hope Foundation. The agreement provides Ryan White Program services, which help people living with HIV access medical care, medications, and support services they need to stay healthy. The Ryan White Program is our nation's largest federal program for people with HIV who don't have health insurance or enough money for care. In Harris County, these services reach thousands of residents who need HIV testing, treatment, and ongoing support. The contract also includes Minority AIDS Initiative funding, which specifically addresses HIV in communities of color where rates are often higher. This matters because early HIV treatment helps people live long, healthy lives and prevents transmission to others. The amendment adds advance payment options, making it easier for service providers to deliver care without delays. It also updates data management systems to better track patient care and outcomes.
