Harris County Extends Food Delivery Contract for People with HIV/AIDS

Harris County Commissioners Court approved an amendment to continue meal delivery services for people living with HIV/AIDS through The Houston Food Bank. This contract supports the Ryan White Program Part A and Minority AIDS Initiative, which provide essential health services to our community members facing HIV/AIDS. The agreement runs from March 2026 through February 2027 with no cost increase. These meal delivery services help people with HIV/AIDS maintain proper nutrition, which is crucial for their health and treatment success. When people have reliable access to healthy meals, they can better manage their medications and stay healthier. The program specifically serves communities that have been most affected by HIV/AIDS, including minority populations. Harris County uses federal Ryan White funding to make these services possible.
