Harris County Extends Disaster Recovery Jobs Through 2031

Harris County Commissioners Court approved extending five grant-funded positions through December 2031 for the Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery program. This federal program helps our community rebuild after natural disasters like hurricanes and floods that have hit Harris County hard in recent years. The Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery program provides crucial funding to repair homes, rebuild infrastructure, and help families recover from disaster damage. These five positions work directly on getting federal disaster relief money to residents who need it most.
