Harris County's Commissioners Court approved a data sharing agreement with Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute to evaluate our Early Childhood Initiatives (ECI) Portfolio. This partnership helps us understand how well our early childhood programs work for families across Harris County. The Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute is a respected research organization that studies mental health programs and policies. They will help analyze data from our early childhood services to see what's working and what needs improvement. This matters because early childhood programs shape our kids' futures. When we know which programs help children succeed, we can do more of what works. The evaluation covers services like pre-K programs, childcare support, and family resources that help children from birth to age five. For Harris County families, this means better early childhood services in the future. The data helps county leaders make smart decisions about funding programs that truly help our youngest residents and their families. The research protects family privacy while showing us how to improve services across all our neighborhoods.
