Harris County Commissioners Court approved spending $120,000 to buy more automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) and related equipment through SafetyMed, LLC. This extends their current contract from June through November 2026. AEDs are portable devices that can restart someone's heart during a cardiac emergency. Harris County is expanding these devices across county facilities, parks, and public buildings.
