The Rice University Multicultural Center (MCC) is a campus center at Rice University in Houston, Texas. It coordinates and implements educational, cultural, and social programs designed to support student success and build a sense of belonging for students from historically underrepresented communities. The MCC promotes inclusiveness, intercultural dialogue, and respect for diversity. It helps students understand and appreciate differences in race, ethnicity, gender, and more, while giving them tools to challenge prejudice and grow their cultural awareness. The center also supports multicultural student organizations, offers individualized counseling, provides a resource library, connects students to academic support, and facilitates student concerns such as those related to race or affirmative action. It is run by Rice University's Office of Access and Institutional Excellence.
