We will show what we know and where it came from.
The first museum in the Americas dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi's legacy of nonviolence — with immersive exhibits, TEKS-aligned school programs, and community events in Southwest Houston.
The Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston (EGMH) is a cultural and educational museum dedicated to preserving and promoting Mahatma Gandhi's legacy by cultivating the universal values of truth, nonviolence, peace, love, and service. It is the only museum in America dedicated to Gandhi, housed on a 3-acre site at 12379 Riceville School Road in Southwest Houston. Immersive exhibits trace Gandhi's journey and the peace leaders he inspired — including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, and the Dalai Lama — and challenge visitors to be catalysts for change in their own lives and communities. EGMH offers docent-led, TEKS-aligned school tours for grades 6-12, community programs, and signature events like the annual 5K Walk for Peace.
