The Constructive Dialogue Institute (CDI) is a non-partisan nonprofit founded in 2017 by Jonathan Haidt and Caroline Mehl. It uses behavioral science research to build educational tools that help people communicate and work together across differences. CDI's flagship program, 'Perspectives,' is a research-backed blended learning program that teaches psychological concepts to reduce polarization and improve dialogue. It serves colleges and universities, high schools, workplaces, and civic institutions across the United States. CDI is the only organization in the constructive dialogue field with evidence from randomized controlled trials proving its effectiveness. It is headquartered in New York — not Houston — and operates nationally.
