Beauty's Community Corporation, known as Beauty's Community Garden, fights food insecurity in Houston's Independence Heights and nearby neighborhoods. On family land turned into a community garden in 2012, it grows and shares fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. It also offers gardening classes, cooking and nutrition workshops, and youth programs.
