Free Tool Helps Cities Create Jobs and Reduce Poverty

The Economic Mobility Catalog is a free online tool that helps city and county leaders find proven ways to help people get better jobs and move out of poverty. Created by Results for America, it includes over 50 strategies and 200 programs backed by research. The catalog covers seven key areas: early childhood development, K-12 education, job training, health and wellness, criminal justice, housing, and financial security. Leaders can browse by topic or by the results they want to achieve, like helping kids succeed in school or helping adults find good jobs. The tool includes real examples from 60+ cities that have successfully used these programs. City leaders use it to write policy proposals, adjust budgets, and connect with experts. The catalog also offers case studies showing how different communities implemented these strategies. Beyond the catalog, Results for America provides additional support through intensive training programs called Solutions Sprints and helps governments shift their spending toward programs that work best. This resource has helped shift $43 billion in government funding toward evidence-based programs that actually help people improve their economic situation.
