Volunteer at Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry to stock shelves and help share food with families in need.

Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry is a volunteer-run, donation-funded food pantry in the Houston Heights neighborhood that has been fighting hunger since 2009. It gives out free groceries — including pantry staples, fresh produce, eggs, and basic toiletries — to families across all Houston-area ZIP codes every Thursday evening and Saturday morning. The pantry is an agency of the Houston Food Bank and is guided by a board made up of representatives from several local churches. More than 40 volunteers show up every week to receive, pack, and hand out food to close to 200 families. It also serves people experiencing homelessness, those on fixed incomes, and individuals going through health or job crises.
