Overview
Places 4 People is Harris County Precinct 4's infrastructure program that brings major improvements to our neighborhoods. Commissioner Lesley Briones announced $33.5 million in new projects for 2025, focusing on Alief, Sharpstown, Westchase and surrounding areas. These investments will improve roads, drainage systems, and public safety infrastructure where we live and work. The program tackles flooding problems that affect our homes and businesses during heavy rains. It also fixes dangerous road conditions that damage our cars and threaten our safety. Since launching in 2023, Places 4 People has invested $252.4 million across 59 projects, working with 28 local organizations. This shows our community has strong partnerships and resources for real change. The program matters because it addresses problems we face every day - flooded streets, broken roads, and safety concerns in our neighborhoods. These improvements protect our property values and make our communities safer for families. Projects are chosen through partnerships with local groups who know what each area needs most. To get involved, contact Commissioner Briones' office to learn about upcoming projects in your neighborhood. Attend community meetings where projects are discussed. You can also connect with local organizations that partner with the program to advocate for improvements your area needs.
